Question:     When was Hardwick Appraisal Company established?
Hardwick Appraisal Company, Inc., was established in 1978 by Charles E. Hardwick, who recognized the need for a full service appraisal office to serve the growing demands of our expanding community. Our staff has over 100 years of real estate and appraisal experience (ranging from 5-50 years individually).

Question:     How long does it take for us to do an appraisal?
Typically, the appraisal report will be ready for our client in 3 to 5 business days after the property inspection.  Quicker turn around times are possible to meet special needs.

Question:     What areas do you cover?
Hardwick Appraisal Company can handle assignments throughout Jackson County and the Northeast section of Hillsdale County, the cities of Albion and Leslie and just outside of the Jackson County line.

Question:    What does an appraisal cost?
Please take a look at our Fee Schedule web page for our current prices.  The cost may vary depending on the clients needs and location as well as the complexity of the assignment.

Question:    What does the property inspection entail?
Most Appraisals require us to inspect the entire property, including the interior and exterior.  Most inspections take about 30 to 45 minutes to complete.

Question:    Will you be locating any defects in the property?
The purpose of the appraisal inspection is to provide the appraiser with a general awareness of the quality of construction, condition, and features of the property.  We are not home inspectors and appraisal inspections should not be relied upon to disclose any property defects present in the appraised property.  A professional licensed home inspector should be employed for this purpose.
